We've been trying to maintain 'the morning walk'.

The best time of day is early morning, just as the sun is rising. There are a few favorite routs, one of which is out and around Cupid's Cay. It's a small local community, tacked onto Governors Harbour by a small causeway. Many of the original residents have been abandoned or run down, but there is a vibrancy about the place that's hard to resist. It's certainly colourful. Gentrification is creeping in, and it's easy to see that in a few years, the old Cupids Cay will have disappeared.

Meanwhile, back home, Zoe also goes for a walk . . .

Escape to Eleuthera - 2025!

Back to our favorite Island spot for some idle kick back, and escape from winter. Not that winter was so bad up to when we departed two weeks ago, but it's been snow on snow since. Can one say - predictable!

The flight to Nassau was uneventful, and while waiting for the flight to Governors Harbour, we took a stroll out of the terminal to get some warm air, and who should we bump into - a genuine Caribbean character . . .

Home away from home awaits us, complete with grand piano, chickens and cats.

 Bougainvillea galore, almost everywhere.

 and today . . .

The morning walk today.
No company, but tons to observe and enjoy.
Down the Down Road, towards the harbour, studded with century residences.
Across Queens Highway, downtown bustling as usual.
Out towards Cupid Cay, past government offices and the library, then return via the cemetery.
What a way to start the day.

Yesterday . . .

Ah, this is just what the Doc ordered for February. Our home away from home right now.

beaches

Whether you're familiar with the beaches of Sandbanks Provincial Park, Wasaga Beach, Southend on Sea or Europe in general, seems to me there is nothing that can rival this!
